ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!This book is a compilation of three short stories each set somewhere in the Five Nights at Freddy's canon。 Each centers on a child that feels dissatisfied in some section of their life, and how tangling themselves with Animatronics and pizzerias gets them exactly what they want, but maybe not in the way they expect and sometimes with a prince higher then they're willing to pay。 The first story, Into the Pit was a bit of a let down, and I expected a lot more about the actual B ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!This book is a compilation of three short stories each set somewhere in the Five Nights at Freddy's canon。 Each centers on a child that feels dissatisfied in some section of their life, and how tangling themselves with Animatronics and pizzerias gets them exactly what they want, but maybe not in the way they expect and sometimes with a prince higher then they're willing to pay。 The first story, Into the Pit was a bit of a let down, and I expected a lot more about the actual Bite of 87' or 83' as that's what I thought it was about? However it wasn't, though it was still pretty good and I really enjoyed it。 I've always love Circus baby, so the second story, to be beautiful, was really really good to me。 It was a lot darker than the first, and it held a very deep message aside from the whole don't trust an animatronic thing that you get from the whole fnaf universe。 The final story however, definitely was the best。 It was told beautifully, it had dark tones that were weighted neatly with the light ones。 The foreshadowing was incredible, but also just the set up that made you long for good when you could so blatantly see the bad。 Millie is a character I was aware of prior because she was said to posses FT Freddy in some area of canon, and I love this story just for that! All in all, if you love fnaf, read these books。 If you don't but you like scary stories, things with sad or bad endings, deep meanings, and quick reads。 Still read it。 。。。more

This is an entertaining book because it is a thriller with also having occasional humor and the three short story's all have a deeper meaning meaning then what you read。 The book itself is enough length to keep you reading for about a day or two and the more you read the more you want to know what happens next。 Overall this is a great book。 This is an entertaining book because it is a thriller with also having occasional humor and the three short story's all have a deeper meaning meaning then what you read。 The book itself is enough length to keep you reading for about a day or two and the more you read the more you want to know what happens next。 Overall this is a great book。 。。。more

The stories in the book are filled with many mysteries that are connected to the FNaF loure and franchiseAnd the stories have the most amazing building up to the rising action and to the climax from the books I have read and completed and remembered how the story plot goes。

Into the Pit is a children's horror anthology based within the Five Nights at Freddy's universe。 In the first of three stories (Into the Pit), a young boy, Oswald, is stuck in his dilapidated home town over his summer vacation, with nowhere to go everyday but the library and an old run down pizza place called Jeff's Pizza。 Fed up with how boring it is, Oswald decides to sneak into the cautioned off, old ball pit at Jeff's Pizza and gets transported back in time to the previously named Freddy Faz Into the Pit is a children's horror anthology based within the Five Nights at Freddy's universe。 In the first of three stories (Into the Pit), a young boy, Oswald, is stuck in his dilapidated home town over his summer vacation, with nowhere to go everyday but the library and an old run down pizza place called Jeff's Pizza。 Fed up with how boring it is, Oswald decides to sneak into the cautioned off, old ball pit at Jeff's Pizza and gets transported back in time to the previously named Freddy Fazbear's Pizza。 The second story (To Be Beautiful) tells the tale of a young girl named Sarah who's only desire is to be beautiful, despite the insistence of everyone around her that she already is。 After school one day, Sarah finds and rescues a mysterious robot-like doll that offers to grant her wish and make her beautiful。 And the final story in the anthology (Count the Ways) is about a young girl named Millie who believes that her life is miserable and that the people in it only exacerbate that misery。 The story details the events in Millie's life that lead her to wind up inside of a murderous animatronic。I genuinely enjoyed this book, but while I did rate it four stars, I actually think it is more fair to judge each story on their own merits。 My least favorite story of the bunch was To Be Beautiful, mostly because it felt a bit anticlimactic and the protagonist was incredibly unlikable。 But it was also the story that just irritated me the most, simply because Sarah was far too trusting of Eleanor (the robot doll)。 Aside from that it was also the one that felt like it had the most unexplained plot points (like the fact that (view spoiler)[Sarah's mom and friends didn't notice that she looked different despite both of them remarking on the fact that she looked different in other instances (hide spoiler)])。 I enjoyed Into the Pit as a story, but overall it felt pretty basic to me。 And maybe it's because I genuinely understand what it is like to live in a run-down town with nothing to do and no money to spend, but I found Oswald to be the most bearable of all of the protagonists。 However, the ending really irritated me because it felt just so convenient。 (view spoiler)[The fact that Oswald miraculously managed to knock the golden rabbit into the netting of the ball pit and suffocate him was just too much of a stretch。 (hide spoiler)] Other than that, and the fact that having a time traveling ball pit feels a bit like jumping the shark, I didn't really have any problems with it and found it to be a fun and creepy story。 My favorite story was definitely Count the Ways and if this story were by itself I would've given this book five stars。 Millie, in her "I'm not like other girls" glory, was definitely an unbearable protagonist, but at least this time there was a reason for that。 I also genuinely loved her grandfather (overall I pretty much loved all of the guardians in this book) and felt especially sad for him that Millie treated him so poorly over the course of the book。 The middle did feel a bit like it was rambling, but I don't think that it was unnecessary, just maybe should have been condensed a bit, but the sections of the book that weren't a flashback were by far the most interesting parts and they were genuinely horrific to read。 I think that the ending of the story was also done very well and felt incomplete and eerie in the best way possible。 (view spoiler)[The fact that it was ambiguous as to weather or not Millie died only made the final scene with her grandfather all the more intense。 (hide spoiler)] So it was definitely the best of the three and really hammered home the themes of the story better than the others。Overall, I think that this book incorporated the most interesting an fun parts of the Five Nights series into its pages in a mostly satisfying way and I had a great time reading it。 It really isn't meant to be the scariest thing out there, but even still there is some legitimately horrific stuff in this book, though even if it doesn't scare you, the stories themselves are still emotionally charged and enjoyable reads that don't take much time at all to finish。 So if you are a fan of the Five Night's series, I suggest that you pick this book up, even if just to have more things about the lore to theorize on。 。。。more

This is a bind-up of three novellas, each featuring different characters and all more-or-less tied into the FNaF universe。 These are written for a younger audience than the first trilogy of tie-in novels, more of a middle grade age-range。 They are very much like Goosebumps but FNaF-style - which is a great idea!Into the Pit - Oswald is having a boring summer vacation。 He has lunch everyday at a run-down place called Jeff's Pizza。 The reader will quickly pick up on the fact that Jeff's Pizza used This is a bind-up of three novellas, each featuring different characters and all more-or-less tied into the FNaF universe。 These are written for a younger audience than the first trilogy of tie-in novels, more of a middle grade age-range。 They are very much like Goosebumps but FNaF-style - which is a great idea!Into the Pit - Oswald is having a boring summer vacation。 He has lunch everyday at a run-down place called Jeff's Pizza。 The reader will quickly pick up on the fact that Jeff's Pizza used to be Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria - which doesn't really work with the other novels, because they built a mall around it, but whatever。 This story involves time travel to the 1980s via magical ball pit。To Be Beautiful - Sarah is obsessed with the idea that she needs to change her appearance to be beautiful。 She has pictures of models all over her walls and dreams about being able to afford expensive cosmetics and even surgery。 One day she finds a strange robot girl tossed into the scrap yard。 The robot is taller than she is and when switched on she offers to grant Sarah's wish, but at what cost?Count the Ways - Millie is a baby goth who loves Victorian mourning jewelry and Edgar Alan Poe。 I enjoyed her character quite a lot and seeing her discover HP Lovecraft and Shirley Jackson and decide she wants to be a librarian when she grows up。 Of course, I related! But after her feelings are hurt at school, a sulking Millie comes across a Funtime Freddy animatronic stashed away in her Grandpa's workshop。 She decides to hide inside of it's cavernous chest 。 。 。 and obviously that's a mistake。I liked the book。 These are fun little stories。 They didn't exactly "wow" me, but then, I'm not the target audience。 I think kids who are into horror would really enjoy them and find them quite scary。 。。。more

3。5That was actually better than I expected tbh (even tho I’ve heard that these are better than the main saga, the opinions about the saga are so abismal that I was kinda scared, but I was actually pleasantly surprised)。 It kinda felt like reading Goosebumps again, I can see these books becoming big in the middle grade horror genre。Into the pit (3 stars)This was the one that felt very fnafy。 It connected well with the lore of the games (the whole afton getting into the bunny suit and being creep 3。5That was actually better than I expected tbh (even tho I’ve heard that these are better than the main saga, the opinions about the saga are so abismal that I was kinda scared, but I was actually pleasantly surprised)。 It kinda felt like reading Goosebumps again, I can see these books becoming big in the middle grade horror genre。Into the pit (3 stars)This was the one that felt very fnafy。 It connected well with the lore of the games (the whole afton getting into the bunny suit and being creepy) but was it’s own story at the same time。 Not bad, but not the best either (and also the whole time traveling ball pit was kinda hilarious, and I would have liked it if the kid he befriends in the past was his father, although he might have been a victim maybe?)To be beautiful (3。5 stars)This one was。。。 kinda better?? But it also really showed that it was written by a man。 Idk, the whole self-negative thinking about being ugly was putting me off a bit, and it ended up being such a sad story in the end。 Idk, kinda confused about how I feel about this story。Count the ways (3。5 stars)This one was the saddest one by far。 The ending was so heartbreaking (no spoilers, I promise)。 But I kinda didn’t like the whole girls judging other girls just because they like being pretty (I guess we’re back at the whole I’m not like the other girls trope huh?) Its the kind of negativity we don’t need to keep in seeing in media (again, it really felt like it was written by a man, especially when you think about the difference in themes in Into the pit vs the other two stories, it makes you think, doesn’t it?)。 。。。more

I’ve been a big fan of the lore of fnaf for a while now, so I’ve always been interested to see what the books had to offer。 I’m not sure if these are “canon” because some things I know about the actual series and then this don’t really add up。 I think of these stories kind of like a kids twilight zone。 The writing is Amateurish but not unenjoyable especially if you just really like fnaf。 Which I do。 I’ll do a story by story review。Into the PitI really enjoyed the atmosphere of this story, time t I’ve been a big fan of the lore of fnaf for a while now, so I’ve always been interested to see what the books had to offer。 I’m not sure if these are “canon” because some things I know about the actual series and then this don’t really add up。 I think of these stories kind of like a kids twilight zone。 The writing is Amateurish but not unenjoyable especially if you just really like fnaf。 Which I do。 I’ll do a story by story review。Into the PitI really enjoyed the atmosphere of this story, time travel has always been my thing。 I’m not sure how I feel about the inclusion of springtrap or even what they did with him because again story wise it doesn’t really fit in with what I know about the og story of fnaf。 But it was an interesting experiment。 It was probably however the least “scary” of the stories。To Be Beautiful This was probably my least favorite story because it was a very typical one。 No surprises here folks however you think this is gonna go it’s going。 I appreciate it having a true horror downer ending though。 Let me count the waysThis was my favorite story, mostly because it featured one of my favorite animatronics, Funtime Freddy from sister location。 He’s a hoot。 An affable murderous antagonist。 I appreciated the non linear storyline, and felt the ending was actually really good。 I would have appreciated the character realizing her mistakes more organically however, the way they wrote it was a little clumsy。 I listened to this on audio book and plan on doing the same with the rest of the series。 Really I just think of them as little twilight zone episodes featuring the fnaf characters。 Even within the franchise I don’t understand all of the animatronic possessions and this one particularly the last story got me thinking about it but yknow again I had a good time。 These stories might scare middle graders but for everyone else they’ll just be checking them out if they’re fnaf fans and want some extra characterization。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I had mild expectations for this book, my coworker recommended it to me so I decided to buy it。 This review is going to be split into three different sections for all three mini stories and a conclusion at the end。Into the pit: the atmosphere for this one was really good。 It managed to be unsettling in a way that made great world building and didn’t seem like it was trying too hard。 A lot of horror authors try so hard to make their world creepy that it isn’t anymore, but Scott and Elley made the I had mild expectations for this book, my coworker recommended it to me so I decided to buy it。 This review is going to be split into three different sections for all three mini stories and a conclusion at the end。Into the pit: the atmosphere for this one was really good。 It managed to be unsettling in a way that made great world building and didn’t seem like it was trying too hard。 A lot of horror authors try so hard to make their world creepy that it isn’t anymore, but Scott and Elley made the town our protagonist Oswald lives in feel the perfect balance of realistic and unsettling。 But things started to fall apart with the time traveling。 You see, Oswald goes to this pizza diner every day and one day he decided to hide in a closed off ball pit to prank his dad, but when he comes back up he’s in the 80s。 It sounds interesting but Oswald’s reaction to it is confusing and doesn’t feel real at all。 Anyway bla bla bla Oswald survives and has a happy ending yay。 To be beautiful: our protagonist, Sarah wants to be beautiful, she finds an old rundown animatronic and takes it home and cleans it up。 The doll, named Elanour comes to life and wants to grant her a wish in thanks。 Sarah wishes to be pretty。 Elanour slowly grants her this wish every day, but Sarah has to wear the necklace Elanour made for her and can never take it off。 Sarah is clearly mentally ill with the way she treats beauty and most definitely has body dysmorphia and an eating disorder of some kind。 My problem is that the story treats her problem like they’re ridiculous and silly and ungrateful。 And as someone with bdd myself it was really sad to see how they punished her character for her struggles。 Count the ways: the last story is about a goth girl named millie。 She’s ungrateful and the most rude representation of a teenage girl I’ve ever seen。 It seems the authors have never met a goth person before because she was painfully cliche。 She constantly talked about death and wanted to die, would tear down “basic girls,” she goes on rants about things like how Christmas is just a distraction to hide the pain and death of the world several times and it made me want to tear my own eyes out。 Not only that but she’s so painfully ungrateful and rude to everyone around her it was impossible to sympathise with her。 Conclusion: I don’t like the way they wrote the girls。 You may be thinking, but isn’t is so feminist of them to make two of the protagonists girls? Not really。 Millie and Sarah are both punished for the things they wish for and are written to be horrible ungrateful people when Oswald’s wishes and problems are treated like they’re fair and valid。 Not only that it’s weird to me that Millie and Sarah are both punished for the things they want while Oswald is the only one who survives and has a happy ending。 He’s never taught to be more grateful or anything like what Millie and Sarah were told。 If the authors wanted to be seen as woke for having two female protagonists they should have written them to be likeable and not brutally murder them while Oswald and his ugly cowlick get off scot free。 。。。more
